Im 23 from Sydney, Australia. 

So basically I started fishing 'seriously' last year around August 2010. Why I would say seriously is because that is when I purchased my 'first' brand reel, the Daiwa Legalis 2500, with a Daiwa Crossbeat which is a telescopic rod. 

Before this I was fishing for a few months, but with a 20 dollar rod/reel combo from Ray's outdoor (Sydney.) 

I was catching the usual fish that everyone does ranging from breams, tailors, flatheads, flounders, trevallys. Although I was not intending to catch any of them, I was more the type of guy thinking "ill take a bag of pilchards or a bag of prawns, and see what fish might eat the bait. "

Im doing this blog basically because I realized I love fishing, and I know that im going to grow into one of those fishermens you see holding Marlins and massive Tunas. Hopefully, through this blog you can watch me get to that goal! At the same time i'll post how, where and when I caught the fishes that I will be catching! 

I just purchased my 2nd new reel and received it on Friday 13, May 2011. It is a Shimano Biomaster 8000. 

Anyhow, I could blabber on about all my fishing stories, but that will take ages, so to get to the point, I caught my first Kingfish on Saturday 21st of May. The 3rd time using my new reel! This is what got me to start writing a blog...Im just so into it!
